Vanity Fair was a weekly social, literary and political magazine that ran from 1868 to February 1914. The publications characters of notables became very popular, especially those by "Ape"(Carlo Pellegrini) and "Spy" (Leslie Ward).

This particular lithograph, signed "Ape," is of Reverend Charles Spurgeon. "No one has succeeded like him in sketching the comic side of repentance and regeneration."

On the back of the framed piece is the Certificate of Authenticity of this rare lithograph.

Details: 2.5" cream outer mat; 25" dark gray or navy inner mat; gold and black solid wood frame; hanging hardware.

Condition: Very Good to Excellent. A few nicks to the frame, but no scratches on glass. The lithograph itself appears to be in excellent condition.
